Night auditor accused of grand theft
A night auditor working on the "Noordam" was accused of stealing more than $10,000 during three cruises out of Port Everglades. The Indonesian crew member Anthonius Nov Hartanto, aged 42, has been charged with a total of 11 counts of grand theft. He allegedly admitted the offences while working aboard the "Noordam". Hartanto, who manned the reception desk during the night shift, allegedly took the stolen cash off the ship when it docked at the port and wired the money to his own bank account in Indonesia. The offences took place between Nov 3 and 13, 2014, at the end of each of the three cruises. The 11 thefts totaling $10,220 ranged from $500 to $1,320 a time. Hartanto made his first appearance in court on Dec 16 and was being held on $55,000 bail
