Problema e' che la legge l'hanno lansciato in gennaio. Prova fare lo stesso in inverno, ne parleremo ancora In estate non vedo nessun problema.

Ci sono anche posti interni... riscaldati e protetti.

A partire dal 1 gennaio 2014 sarà possibile fumare solo nelle aree chiuse dedicate (cigar bar) o in alcune aree dei ponti esterni.

For the comfort and enjoyment of our guests, our ships are designated as non-smoking; however, we recognize that some of our guests do smoke. Therefore, to provide an onboard environment that also satisfies smokers, we have designated certain areas of the ship as smoking areas.

Cigarette, cigar, e-cigarette and pipe smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas of the starboard side of all ships; with the exception of Oasis-class ships that will allow smoking on the port side of the ships. To assist in locating areas where smoking is permitted, guests will find visible signage posted within all smoking areas and ashtrays that are provided for use. Outdoor areas near restricted areas, food venues, and kids play areas and pools will not allow smoking. On Oasis class, smoking is not permitted in Central Park or the Boardwalk neighborhoods.

Casino Royale allows smoking and has a designated area for non-smoking guests. There will be visible signage indicating the non-smoking area in the casino. There are select cruises departing from China that will not have a non-smoking area in the casino.

Onboard all interior public spaces are smoke free*. Smoking is not permitted in any dining venue, theater, bar, lounge, hallway, elevator, and jogging track.

Smoking is not permitted inside any stateroom and any stateroom balcony. This applies to all stateroom categories onboard. If a guest is in violation of this stateroom policy, a cleaning fee of $250 USD will be applied to their SeaPass® account and may be subject to further action pursuant to the "Consequences Section" of the Guest Conduct Policy.

Royal Caribbean International kindly asks all guests to please observe the smoking policy. These requests are made to provide a comfortable cruise for everyone. Guest may also inquire at Guest Services for the location of the designated smoking areas onboard.

Guests who violate this smoking policy may be subject to further action pursuant to the "Consequences Section" of this Guest Conduct Policy.

Royal Caribbean updated the smoking policy September 2013 and the above policy is in enforcement on all ships with cruises departing on or after January 1, 2014.

Designated Smoking Areas
Clearly marked “Designated Smoking Areas” are available onboard and include a sufficient number of ashtrays that are emptied regularly. Generally, these areas include cigar lounges, a section of the nightclub and casino, as well as a portion of the open decks. As a safety precaution, passengers are reminded to properly dispose of cigarettes, cigars and pipe tobacco, which are never to be thrown overboard as this may be sucked back into the ship and cause fires.
Stateroom Smoking Policy Update
For all voyages departing after January 15th, 2012, Princess Cruises will prohibit smoking in passenger staterooms and balconies. This policy change reflects the preferences of a vast majority of our passengers who value having their primary living space (both stateroom and balcony) smoke-free. As balconies are a hallmark of Princess Cruises, we believe it is important to keep this peaceful space clear of smoke. Violations to this policy will result in a $250 fine for each occurrence, which will be charged to the passenger’s stateroom account. Keeping with the global trend toward more restrictive smoking policies and honoring the wishes of our passengers, we feel this change will enhance our onboard experience and do more to help our passengers escape completely.
Electronic Cigarettes
The use of electronic cigarettes is permitted in all areas onboard with the exception of dining areas and the Princess Theater. However, should a fellow passenger in the vicinity feel inconvenienced and complain, even after being told the difference between electronic cigarettes and real cigarettes, we will ask the passenger to refrain from smoking the electronic cigarette.

Appunto, CIVILTA' significa anche rispettare chi non ha i tuoi stessi bisogni.
Quanti siamo sulla nave? 3500 persone? Di queste 1000 circa sono fumatori.
Ci sono 4 bar?.......uno lo fai smoke-free e gli altri 3 bar col vietato fumare. Sembra semplice, vero? Ma non è così.
Il problema nazismo sai qual'è? E' che tu NON fumatore (generico) non vuoi privarti del quarto bar e pretendi che devi usufruire anche del "mio" bar e lamentarti perché si fuma.
Civilità sarebbe che io vengo nei tuoi 3 bar e non fumo........ e che tu vieni nel mio e ti sorbisci il fumo (se ti va di venire)......
Stesso discorso vale per le cabine.

La scelta di aree no-smoking e smoking-free nello stesso bar non la condivido neanche io! Immagina quanto sono civile!...

Da quello che ho visto e letto, mi sembra che sulle navi ci sia un cigar bar; quindi, visto che il rapporto fumatori /non fumatori non è più (per fortuna di tutti ) quello di qualche anno addietro, penso che il problema sia assolutamente risolvibile fumando nel bar o nelle aree dedicate, senza alcun bisogno di dover stare sui ponti esterni.

In questo modo penso sia ampliamente rispettato il principio che

la tua libertà finisce dove inizia la mia e viceversa

Ci sarebbe anche da dire che battendo le navi Costa bandiera italiana, valgono le leggi italiane e da qualche anno vi è la norma che proibisce il fumo in tutti gli ambienti chiusi a meno di non predisporre adeguati sistemi di "isolamento" e ventilazione, oltre le norme preposte a tutela dei lavoratori che per nessun motivo possono essere obbligati al fumo passivo..
Ciò detto mi pare che Costa abbia predisposto gli spazi a norma, il cigar bar e poi ci sono sempre i ponte aperti. Per fare un quid in più potrebbero predisporre su di un ponte esterno un area riscaldata con le lampade ad infrarossi così come fanno diversi locali e ristoranti nella stagione invernale proprio sul marciapiede di fronte al locale

Leggendo tutti i messaggi rimango molto perplessa ed anche un po' sconcertata, ho sempre viaggiato Costa sono un coral ma, francamente non ho mi sono mai lamentata cosi' come ho letto, si certo qualche pecca c era, lunghe file al buffet ma sempre mangiato e trovato posto l,animazione non sempre soddisfacente ma senza drammatizzare, quello che ho fatto presente anche nel questionario finale e' che mi sarebbe piaciuto che ci fossero piu' attivita' ricreative tipo giochi di carte anche per chi non aveva una grande conoscenza di questi, oppure qualche ragguaglio sulle localita' che si andavano a visitare.
Indubbiamente la politica e' al risparmio ma tutto ha un limite in quanto il viaggio costa , io partiro' a settembre con la Luminosa per le Capitali dell Atlantico, speriamo bene mi farebbe piacere conoscere anche qualche giudizio positivo

Finalmente un posto dove non si è costretti a respirare veleni, visto che ormai non si può nemmeno andare in spiaggia per respirare un pò di aria... Io ritengo il fumo simile alle droghe: andrebbe messo fuori legge tranne in luoghi "riservati" ai fumatori (tipo i coffee shop olandesi)... Capisco che il fumatore voglia mantenere la propria "libertà", ma non può farlo in luoghi pubblici ove c'è gente che vuole mantenere la propria libertà di non fumare. Poi da medico ho una posizione assolutamente contraria al fumo... Deformazione professionale

Da ex fumatore incallito non posso che essere felice di questa cosa, specie ora che devo tornare su mediterranea che aveva le zone fumatori proprio fuori dal ristorante a entrambe i piani e con un bimbo piccolo non è il massimo.Con tutto il rispetto per i fumatori ( ognuno è libero di fare ciò che vuole ma solo fino a che per le sue libertà non calpesta le libertà altrui .
